24 Sep PHL finishes 5th in ASEAN Para Games
The Philippines put up a respectable performance by finishing fifth overall in the 9th ASEAN Para Games held from September 17 to 23 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
In all, the Filipinos raked in 20 golds, 20 silvers and 29 bronzes.
Athletics produced the most golds for the Filipinos with nine including three each by sprinter Cielo Honasan and thrower Cendy Asusano.
Josephine Medina produced one in table tennis as well as Adeline Dumapong-Ancheta in Powerlifting.
Also delivering were the chess team headed by Sander Severino and Henry Lopez.
